It doesn't, it just fails before it gets to the mediaplayer-app tests because on the nexus7 camera-app is totally dysfunctional (which your test detects, and rightfully fails :) ). See comment 15.

Yes, there are obviously bugs in the actual apps, but I didn't look into them. Those should get new bug reports against the apps, these are unrelated to autopilot.
