Bug Description
I installed the statistic plugin available from authpuppy administrative page.
Some time after, i decided to rename the SSID i have on the two router connected to my authentication server. I did everything i could to make it work, but i always have the green authpuppy screen.
So i remind having installed lastly the statistic plugins so i uninstalled it. I reboot my server, my router, like i did may be 20 time before.
And removing the statistic plugin resolved my problem now i have two active nodes as usual. But, before finding that this plugin was the problem i spent hours thinking about every possible scenario who could make my connections refused.
So this is a real and more than verified bug. I wonder what it could be if i had a new node with a new access point ? While the Statistic plugin is installed.
Is there anybody who will replace Geneviève Bastien ? I mean as it is publicly said in the pages of Iles Sans Fil she decided to leave for other things to do and this is perfectly normal. But being without someone who can ask .... That's probably a temporary situation. I hope
The statistics plugin only reads data from the connection table and displays it prettily. It does not interfere with the authentication process.
Maybe it is something you did or did not do when installing it that caused the problem. Can you provide some more logs, either from the AuthPuppy server or the wifidog client to help troubleshoot this issue?
And I'm really sorry I cannot always answer you in the hour following the question, but it's true that AuthPuppy support is not on top of my priority list. Anybody who wants to take up the support is welcome!
(I left île sans fil? what gives that impression? I'm less involved, true, but I didn't totally leave...)
