The vast majority of Ubuntu users in the desktop have directories named similar to "Video", "Pictures", "Documents", "Downloads", "Music", etc there, which means that in fact this is a common practice, and a very well established one at that. Claiming otherwise, and repeatedly so, washes out the better arguments.

The better argument is that yes, the snap directory is a bit different, because it deals with confinement of applications that cannot write elsewhere, and yes it currently uses a technical organization that is unlike other cases for that same reason, and yes, this organization is not optimal for users which is why this issue is still open and not closed, and yes, we also want to improve it, and yes we have been working in other priorities non-stop for years now because we felt these were more important for the survival of the project.

I would actually appreciate if sometimes there was some consideration of the fact there are reasonable people on the other side.
