Another ping. I've also had problems with Haswell + HDMI audio + IOMMU. For me, using the media player Kodi to bitstream AC3 or DTS data over HDMI doesn't work (other types of audio data work though).

This only happens with intel_iommu=on or CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_DEFAULT_ON=y. With IOMMU enabled I also see this line in dmesg:

[ 35.168233] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:03.0: IRQ timing workaround is activated for card #0. Suggest a bigger bdl_pos_adj.

My hardware is an Intel Haswell NUC D54250WYK.
