Sony VAIO VGN-NR160E has same problem....adding the sony-assamd model line resolves the issue as well. tech specs for this card model can be found at www.stitzweb.com/linux/sonyvaiosoundcard.txt and I have made bugreport to alsa about this particular card as well.
