I didn't try gutsy kernel (2.6.22) because I need a 2.6.23 for other things (namely, suspend to ram) to work. And you know, s2ram *must* work, otherwise you loose 90% of the functionality of a laptop. But I suppose it should work. If I have a bit of time (I have two very bad weeks ahead) will try.
Mahdi, have you tried the problem with offset in recording I commented in
http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/9/10/17 ? Just try to start recording with audacity and see if changed mic level you have a continuos value varying with it... and saturating the input at high levels.
