Bug Description

This worked fine in 10.10, I did a clean install of 12.10 and sound has not worked. Can't find any other bugs that help me fix or sort this problem. Sound Settings reports only "Dummy Output" in the output settings.

Please let me know if any other info is required.

I can see the call trace in dmesg similar to the one posted by Raymond

This results in syslog being flooded with messages (every second)

If I boot from the 3.2.0 kernel I kept from 12.04, everything works fine
