@Mauricio: Thanks for the files; they were informative but unfortunately didn't lead to a fix for reading the wlan state.

It looks like one of the patches isn't needed for your problems, so I have one final kernel to test with that patch removed. If everything works fine in this one I'll get the changes in for SRU.
