@Lucas, you mentioned GitHub Actions but those use the Azure flavor (https://github.com/actions/runner-images/blob/ubuntu22/20231126.1/images/ubuntu/Ubuntu2204-Readme.md#ubuntu-2204). That flavor also lacks the CONFIG_DMI_SYSFS however.

The Azure flavor seems to also be lacking the config on newer releases so Mantic and Noble would be affected in the end:

$ grep CONFIG_DMI_SYSFS config-6.5.0-1007-azure
# CONFIG_DMI_SYSFS is not set
