Tested today. All OK. Tag updated.
The installation wasn't trivial, since even with an apply-all proposed the image wasn't installed. I had to explicitly select it (using synaptic).
I was also somewhat alarmed that two linux packages had to be removed. However, all seems well and I've removed mainline 4.16.9.
