Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

karmic alpha 3, all updates + ati kms and kernel from here:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/kms

Compiz is slightly slower, but not unusable.
Scrolling is slow.
Firefox InfoBar animation (the yellow bar which slides down for pop-ups, passwords etc) is jerky.
Video playback seems ok.
Pixelmator.com shows mis-rendered graphics (see screen attached).

Thanks for reporting this bug in the ATI KMS PPA. We normally like to focus one bug report per issue, and since I think the performance issues are known upstream I'm going to focus this one on the screen corruption problem. (You're welcome to file another bug on the performance issue if you'd like to help us track that one to a solution.)

This was identified upstream as a dupe of the following bug, which was confirmed fixed back in late 2009.
