I still have this question. Could you point out what is wrong with the
following scenario?
  - set a +ve trans (60000ms) and a -ve trans (60000ms also) alarm.
  - the +ve trans fires at idle_counter=60000
  - 5 sec later (so idle_counter=65000) the user hit a key to
    interrupt fading.
  - idle_counter goes from 65000 to 0.
Any reason why the -ve trans (60000) should not be fired?
