This also happened to me with this ISO: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20130629/saucy-desktop-amd64.iso.
Just booted my HP G62 laptop from live USB key, after purple screen with human-keyboard screen and before welcom window, ubuquity crashed with broken pipe error in command():[Errno 32]Broken Pipe.
