Same situation here on a fresh install on up-to-date precise. gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad:i386 is selected to be installed by default (for me, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg:i386 is not selected by default). Unselecting that and selecting the normal (non-:i386) ffmpeg manually works.
