Hi, The upgrade to 295.49 has also not solved things for me. I am using a NVIDIA Geforce 7100 /nforce 630i and after installing the new drivers and logging in to Unity 3d I just get a blank screen and a cursor.
GNOME 3 works although it is laggy.
