I started a bisect between commits
424a6f6ef990b7e9f56f6627bfc6c46b493faeb4 BAD
and
b2094ef840697bc8ca5d17a83b7e30fad5f1e9fa GOOD

(Since this is a reverse bisect, I actually tell git the opposite of whether a commit is good or bad).

The first test kernel is built up to commit:
8949490f70cf2cda615fb0fd0ddc299b531e6e48
