Could you please test the Bionic (4.15) and/or Cosmic (4.18) kernels currently available in -proposed to verify if the fix applied really fixes the issue reported? Please see the instructions on the comments above describing how to install the kernels.

Any help is verifying this fix would be much appreciated.
