@Yngve I am like you. I uninstalled -27 and am using my previous version until a viable fix comes out. AFIK there is no real rush in upgrading the kernel and so uninstalling will revert your normal boot to a working kernel . I uninstalled it through the software center: Run Ubuntu Software Center. Go to Installed tab. Make sure you uncheck the box at the bottom that says "Show xxxx installed technical items" then do a search for linux kernel image and uninstall -27. Be sure you have another working kernel in your boot loader - Grub2 Advanced Options should show several kernels if you have been using Ubuntu for even a short time. There are instructions in earlier messages in this thread on how to select a different kernel. Then just wait out the bug until it is resolved. I try the various solutions proposed (none have worked for me yet) just to try to help. I hope this helps
