Same here, I noticed a slow movement of windows (not too annoying, though)

AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor, 4GB RAM
Ubuntu 11.04 AMD64
ATI Radeon HD 4250

Disabling vert refresh sync in compiz DOES work for me.
