I have an AO722 with the C-50 chip, running Peppermint OS and 2.6.38-8-generic kernel, and I have no sound from speakers or headphones.
When I tried installing both the .deb package from post #87 and the ALSA maneuvering from post #91, instead of enabling sound, ALSA stopped recognizing any soundcards. GNOME ALSA mixer is completely blank, and when I click on Edit > Soundcard Properties, the mixer simply exits.
alsa-info is attached. Of particular note is "Soundcards recognized by ALSA: no soundcards."
Hi all,
I have an AO722 with the C-50 chip, running Peppermint OS and 2.6.38-8-generic kernel, and I have no sound from speakers or headphones.

Thanks for any ideas as to how to fix this!
