Bug Description

Lubuntu groovy (daily) QA-install, testcase (replace & manual partitioning) result in dual-boot and thus I need to select which system I want to boot.

The grub menu works correctly, however there is no arrow, color, or highlight to tell which option is currently selected. The number of selections also means scrolling is necessary. On initial boot I could press <Enter> to boot the freshly installed system, and to boot the older system I can jump to end and count the number of up-arrows needed (1 up) to boot old.. but this is unreliable on problematic with multiple OSes installed.

The Lubuntu logo to the left looks good, but it also looks like it's the current selection, it doesn't however move (it's not a selector) and I'd expect users to thus lose count of arrow keys pressed & need and which item they are on.

I've mentioned this before on #lubuntu-devel when noticed on my primary box. This is a problem for QA-test so I've thus got to file.. See https://phab.lubuntu.me/T30#3622

lubuntu groovy QA-test install (replace partition) on
hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600)

on reboot, I have two lubuntu options for each release, plus UEFI settings, but with up & down arrow to change which I'm positioned at, nothing highlights which is currently chosen...

I've now looked away to type this into iso.qa & on return to netbook I can't recall what keys were pressed, and nothing to indicate which I'll get on pressing enter.. Issue occurs with UEFI boxes too.

I can confirm that this bug exists - installed a triple boot and experienced the same problem if trying to select something other than the first entry on the grub menu.
