Xpad fails to load on Lubuntu 15.04 LiveCD because root owns ~/.config

A small yellow window was suppost to open to accept copied text or notes. Instead, the system displayed an error that a required folder was needed to store program info.

This bug can be easily fixed by manully creating the folder. However, this folder should be created automatically by the program or already included in the installed system.

This appears to be a new problem since Alpha 2. I can confirm that xpad was working without errors during testing of alpha 2.

I will download the Alpha 2 ISO and compare versions.

I have attached the output of "ls -lR ~/.config"
...there's nothing really there.

I am not good at fixing bugs, just mainly reporting them. Is there anything on my part I must do?

Sounds like the problem started with the respin.

Root owning ~/.config is definitely the cause of the problem.

At some point in the startup process, a file is written to /home/lubuntu/.config/ubuntu-system-settings/wizard-has-run

Apparently it is written by root, causing root to own the file.

This appears to be resolved as of the 15 February 2015 daily image of vivid amd64. Marking as incomplete - please update if anyone is still affected by this.
