We could use an Ubuntu package for Zuul to easily install it and better track which version is installed.
A work in progress is at https://github.com/pabelanger/zuul-deb
This is currently blocked by some dependencies that need to be packaged as well:
I have packaged python-voluptuous for Debian. ITP filled and I got a sponsor to have it uploaed.
python-statsd , I have packaged the wrong module (python-statsd in pypi). I need to package the correct one (statsd in pypi).
I think Debian now has all python module dependencies:
statsd packaged by myself is at 2.0.1
voluptuous packaged by myself with 0.6.3, got upgraded in Debian to 0.8.2. Zuul supports 0.7+ now.
gear packaged by myself. v4.0.1 got uploaded in Debian a few minutes ago.
apscheduler 2.1.1+, updated in Debian on Nov 3rd
So I think we can resume packaging work with current Zuul version (gearman based) targeting Debian/unstable.
Bug watches keep track of this bug in other bug trackers.
