A few questions:

* How did you install Horizon (i.e. devstack? kolla? manual install? etc.)
* Did Horizon work if zun-ui is not installed?

A quick look at the trace. An observation is that the stack doesn't contain any zun-ui module. It might not directly relate to zun-ui. I will have to find a time to see if I can re-produce the error thought.

First I got this error message installing horizon using maas juju way https://jaas.ai/openstack-base. After that, I tried uninstall openstack-dashboard charm (which is equal to horizon) and install it manually (https://docs.openstack.org/horizon/stein/install/install-ubuntu.html). Horizon worked perfectly fine installing it in two different ways. However, I got exactly the same error as in a bug description mentioned above when installing zun-ui on top of horizon

I couldn't find zun-ui in your pip freeze output. Could you re-run the following command and paste me the output?

$ cd zun-ui
$ sudo pip install .

If above commands succeeded, please capture the output of "pip freeze" again and paste it to me as well:

$ pip freeze

You are using Horizon 16.0.0.rc2 which is the release candidate for
stable/train. I also see you are using zun-ui 3.0.1 which is stable/stein.
The version of horizon and zun-ui doesn't seem to match.

Could you try Horizon 15.1.0 instead?

It looks like that when I said I installed horizon manually I meant installed horizon from packages (https://docs.openstack.org/horizon/stein/install/install-ubuntu.html). Now I will try to install it this way (https://docs.openstack.org/horizon/stein/install/from-source.html#logging) and see if something changes.

However, as I previously said horizon works perfectly fine installed from packages or using juju. All troubles starts after installing zun-ui

I solved everything. It is not zun-ui bug. If plugin is installed using manual install https://docs.openstack.org/horizon/stein/install/from-source.html zun-ui works perfectly fine with horizon.

Sorry, I didn't have a chance to get back to this. So the problem happened
if horizon is installed by package with zun-ui installed from source? And
the problem didn't happen if both horizon and zun-ui were installed from
source? Good to know that.
