key del not working

Bug Description

with older versions it was possible to use the del key (Entf Taste) to delete a picture - now (with 3.01 and 3.10) a a window (panel/sign) is opened in the lower right corner with says löschen tow time - but noting is happening - "löschen" with the context menue works

here is the screenshot - worked in older versions til versionn 3.xx
here you also can see the screen (graphical) problem

Works fine under Ubundu KDE and Suse Gnome. Maybe a Ubuntu Gnome issue.

I also noticed that your Ubuntu is out of date. I currently test with 16.04, you run 14.04.
