Zim Capture packaging incompatible with Firefox 10

Bug Description

The install.rdf file limits the plugin use to FF 4.0 max. I increased manually the max version number to 12 and it worked with FF 10.0.1. So... the source code should be upgraded, I believe.

By the way, the release of the package available through the zim wiki website - http://zim-wiki.org/extras.html is not up-to-date.

I can confirm the link on the zim page is wrong. New users will assume that the plugin isn't supported no more. The launchpad with newer versions is only findable via google (if you know about it).

Thanks for pointing out the install.rdf work around. I am not new to patching but could somebody guide me to patching here for zim /xpi / launchpad so that I can provide a patch for the plugin ?

Greetings from Berlin

Will add link to launchpad project page on the zim website. Don't know
about maintenance of the plugin, haven't seen activity in a while.

Hello,

I am one of the new users who assumed the plugin isn't supported. I just started using zim yesterday on a writing project and found it very useful. I also use freemind. If I could use firefox for research and send articles to zim, then export a structure to freemind for tinkering, life would be complete. I don't see any sign of bringing zim into freemind or vice versa, but bringing contect into zim from firefox would certainly be useful!

If there are any tips to compiling xpi from source and tinkering with config/make files, I would be very grateful for a workaround.

Thanks,
Spacemummy

Hi Everyone,

I'm the author of zimcapture. I haven't updated it in a while because
I thought I was the only person using it. Since people actually seem
to be interested, I'll push an updated .xpi by Tuesday night. Arch
Linux is currently carrying Firefox 11 and Zim 0.56 so I'll ensure
compatibility up to those versions.

The link to my personal website is down for a number of reasons, so
I'll move all future development here. Jaap, feel free to update the
link on the plugins page.

Regards,
Mike

Also, apologies for missing the earlier bug reports. Can't believe
there's one dating back to 2011...

Wow, Michael!

Thanks for checking in. I'll check in to Launchpad to look for updates in a couple days. And thanks for supporting the extension.

Cheers,
