Navigation to child pages is unavailable from menu-go or causes error

Bug Description

Assume the current page has no children. You create a new sub-page (child) of the current page. You navigate back to the parent page. Then you attempt to get back to the most recently visited child page by using
menu - go - child (alt-down)
but the menu entry is greyed out as if the parent page has no children (which is not the case).
You rebuild the index but the problem remains. You exit the Zim application and restart Zim and the problem is fixed for that child.

Please excuse me if this bug has already been reported or is a sub-case of a known existing bug. Version is 0.56 on Ubuntu

I can not reproduce the issue you describe. Instead I see the opposite, for a page with no child the "go child" menu item is available and produces an error when clicked. Probably an issue in initialization of the state.

Will investigate.

I don't believe this bug is fixed. When I try the procedure the reporter indicated, then the navigate to child function is indeed enabled, but when you invoke it, zim does not navigate to the child. Instead, it stays fixed on the parent page. That is, until you restart zim.
