Bug Description
I'm using zim with dropbox (http://
On my Android phone, I recently discovered that there an notetaking-app that also uses .txt-files for the notes and can sync with dropbox: The app's called Epistle (https:/
This app now creates a subfolder in my zim notebook-folder with the note-files.
Unfortunately I didn't find a way to include these notes in my zim Notebook and beeing updated if needed. Is there a way that zim can "auto-detect" .txt files that where created with other applications?`I think that would be a cool feature and shouldn't be too hard to implement, or would it? :)
Greetings from germany,
Sven
Is the problem that the files do not show up at all in zim or is there a problem with the format of the files. Upgrade will just add some headers etc. to the notes, but zim should be able to open files that do not have these headers.
To make zim check for new files you can run "Tools -> Rebuild Index" (but see bug #704167). If this fails you can also force it by running "zim --index" from a terminal.
Also you may want to check the rules for file names here: http:// zim-wiki. org/manual/ Help/Importing_ external_ files.html
