Tab spacing error in middle of text

Bug Description

Under certain circumstances,
best illustrated in the attached pdf,
columns do not align on tab stops,
rather, an extra space is inserted.

In the attached, in the top block,
Wallace, Patrick, Samuel and Stephanie should be aligned.
But Wallace and Stephanie are indented by 1 extra space.

In the 2nd block,
I have just deleted 1 tab in front of Wallace to illustrate
where the previous tab stop is.

Could you add the raw text of the page showing this issue ?

apologies, I should have thought of that. Atttached.

As you can see, nothing out of the ordinary.

Also, it is just a sample: it happens many times.

Addiitonal info: I just tested; adding extra tab stops in front of "Wallace" "Patrick" and Samuel" still leaves Wallace indented by an extra space compared to the others.

Kwrite, kate and open Office Writer render the page correctly.

Let me know if I can provide any further information.

btw, I would not classify this as high priority - just unusual.

I should mention that the pdf was created from a printscreen.png.
I sent as a pdf so I could mark it up, but it looked the same.

This bug means that it's impossible to align text into columns. For example:

Here are some names: Name Date of birth
     Fred 22 June 1995
     John 19 Oct 1970

I've attached the example note.

And I've also attached a screen shot of the mis-aligned result.

Moved to "Won't Fix" because aligning text should use tables instead of plaintext tabs (yes tables are also not very stable at the moment, but that is the direction)
