Bug Description
This is not a bug, but more in the line of a wish or a usability issue
I have seen elsewhere that the TODO and FIXME tags will be/are reintroduced. This will enable the use of checkboxes for other things than TODO - this solves one of my issues.
My normal usage of Zim is to compile lists of todo with due date.
on one page
[ ] [d: 10/04/10] Do laundry.
on another page
[ ] [d: 10/04/10] Grade reports
[ ] [d: 12/04/10] Prepare for meeting
There are two things hampering me when doing it like this.
1) writing the date.
A shortcut inserting the current date or show a pop-up with a calendar, would greatly reduce the amount of [] that I need to write.
2) overview in the Todo list.
The concept of categories is way cool, and I use it a lot. I would like to add a category to an entire list. I see two options, the first is to automatically add the page + subpage names as categories. The second one is to add the category as a parameter for the TODO tag.
Example
TODO: @Home
[ ] [d: 10/04/10] Do laundry.
TODO: @School
[ ] [d: 10/04/10] Grade reports
[ ] [d: 12/04/10] Prepare for meeting
This would help a lot in the way I use zim.
[Side track warning]
Zim is way cool, and it has helped me tremendously in organising my work.
I don't loose yellow post-its anymore, and the interface is very intuitive and handy. And, as mentioned, the todo list is at the center of how I remember all the little things.
So, thanks for a useful piece of software and keep up the good work!
[/Side track warning
Please split this into two requests, one about a more user friendly way to insert the due date and one about using tags on a header to apply them for the whole list.
