Instantsearch and translation not working on windows 10

Bug Description
Hello, I installed INSTANTSEARCH plugin putting the .PY file inside the plugin folder (OPEN PLUGINS FOLDER under Preferences). When I run zim, it creates .PYO file, but the plugin does not appear among the available plugins.
This happens both in windows 10 and in windows 7.
Debug shows the loading of the "standard" plugins, not mine.
(Same behavior also for the Italian translation... am I doing something wrong?)
