Zim

using "show calendar" icon to add entry - entries are added to journal instead of calendar

Bug Description

I'm using zim note .60 on ubuntu. When I make a new calendar entry using the calendar icon (show calendar) the entry is created as a journal entry rather than calendar. I don't see anyway to indicate that I want to make a calendar entry rather than a journal entry. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Afraid I can't see the image - it is protected I guess.

If by two entries you mean that you have pages in a "Calendar" section in
the notebook and in a "Journal" section you should probably check the
configuration of the journal plugin. (Menu item "Edit" --> "Preferences",
in the dialog go to plugins and select the jounal plugin, select
"configure".)

Regards,

Jaap

sorry about the image problem.

OK

I have disabled the journal plugin.... there is no more calendar icon
but I do have a calendar entry in my index bar. How to I easily make a
calendar entry? If memory serves I use to use the Calendar Icon
(associated with the journal) and by clicking on the day in the calendar
it would make an entry in my calendar... currently it only makes an
entry in the Journal.

thanks for you time.

Wayne,

I did not say to disable the plugin. Indeed the whole funtion will not work
anymore if you do.

What I did say is to configure the plugin. Then you can choose the
locations of the Journal pages.

Jaap

Got it! I changed the Namespace in the Journal configuration to read
Calendar to solve my problem.
