Bug Description

Zim 0.62
Windows 7 Professional
Gtk 2.0

I restarted Zim with the '-D' parm but cannot find any debug output.

While editing an item in Zim I constantly receive "Could not save page:" messages indicating that the file has been changed on disk by something other than Zim. I have only 1 instance of Zim running and do not see anything else open using its file.

This continues to happen every day and is causing me to look into using another application.

@ Jim, same here, some 5 months later. I think I'm going to move on to a different app.

Hello,

im using 0.65 version and also started getting this error, im using one instance of zim on a flash drive. is there a setting to change so i won't get this error?

When the error pop-ups, i have to wait several second for user input, once i save the file in the proper location (this is the hardest part of the error, especially if the page is inside a folder of a folder), i can continue working, but then... the error will pop-up again after several minutes.

I hope there is a fix to this, because of it, i'm thinking of using a different app also.

Same issue with Zim 0.65 on Windows 10 x64.

I set the Zim executable to run as administrator and it still pops up the error.

I close the error and the document is fine - it even saves properly. Is there a way to turn off the notification because the program works fine its just the error keeps popping up?

Also, I have my Zim notebook in a Dropbox folder and this may be contributing to the error.

Thank you!

Just solved this problem by checking every single executable in the Zim folder and adding "run as administrator" to compatibility.

This solves it completely!
