Bug Description

Would be nice to have an option to turn off the scrollbar in the distraction free mode to have a truly zen-like experience :)

Another solution, a more complicated, but elegant one, could show the scrollbar only on mouseover, like shown in this video: https://www.wuala.com/sojusnik/Zim/distraction%20free.webm/?key=CzWu9A7Exz3M

If that's not possible, a very thin and unobtrusive scrollbar, like the Ubuntu overlay scrollbar (http://blog.ubuntu-tweak.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ubuntu-tweak-071-2.png) would also do the trick.

Best wishes!

Not sure how to do that. Advanced things like the ubuntu scrollbar are part of the theming engine, so not easy to do from the application code.

The ubuntu scrollbar example was just a visual hint how a thin scrollbar could look like, if the first two suggestions were too complicated to realize.

Anyway, I would prefer the mouseover solution, if that's not possible, then completely deactivating the scrollbar would also be sufficient.

Best!
