Bug Description

Only after pressing "Enter", where before "Ctrl+F" was used, "Ctrl+G" works finding the next word in a note.

I'm sorry, but your description is not clear to me. Can you give a step by step description how to reproduce?

THanks,

When in a note, press "Ctrl+F" and type some desired letters and observe how your combination is highlighted in the note, but pressing "Ctrl+G" does nothing at this stage, so you didn't see other words, that have your previously typed combination. Only after "Ctr+F", then using "Enter", you can use "Ctrl+G" to find other words with your combination in the note.

Can you reproduce the problem now?

I see, the reason is that while you are typing, the focus is not on
the editor widget itself, but on the "find" entry. So Ctrl-G and
Ctrl-H are not handled.

Is there any progress on this issue? It seems, that this behavior could be fixed easily.

Not yet worked on it. Very busy with too many other items at the moment.

Yes it is not difficult, feel free to submit a patch.

The problem is, that I have no programming knowledge. Otherwise, I would fix this issue myself.

Best!

Hey Jaap,

did you make any progress on this issue? Would be great to have this issue solved before the new stable release of zim.
