Please backport ifupdown2 1.0~git20170314-1 (universe) from artful:
 - zesty
  - Xenial

Reason for the backport:
========================

Hi,

I'm the maintainer of ifupdown2, I would like to backport ifupdown2 latest to Zesty and Xenial.
The backport to Xenial would be a priority for me.

It only has access to the 2015 release of ifupdown2. Since that we had several major releases containing exciting new features like:
 - support for configuring VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding)
 - support for B.A.T.M.A.N. protocol configuration
 - support for more netlink attributes
 - new option for ifquery: --with-defaults to include default attributes
 - bridge: disabling ipv6 on bridge if any VXLAN port
 - vrf awareness in dhcp addon module
 - sbin: start-networking: support hotplug class from init script
 - support for classical numerical bond modes
 - extend ifquery support for mstpctl addons
 - each addon may perform semantic and syntax checks by implementing a custom method
 - addons may provide a list of ifupdown scripts to ignore
 - config: changing default value of addon_scripts_support to 1
 - add environment variables passed to user scripts
 - better support for non-english systems

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s artful -d zesty ifupdown2

Ubuntu 16.04 with the 4.10 HWE kernel needs an updated ifupdown2 and iproute2 packages for VRF support. Please consider updating this package
