Bug Description

I really do not, unfortunately, have much information.

The LiveCD worked great. Install went great. Reboot went great. Menu looked great. Usp;ash looked great. GDM looked great.
Login, well, sucked. Logged in and GDM just looped back.

So, went to recovery. Could not use terminal with networking. Wanted a root password. The dpkg option for broken packages did what I would have done, though, in terminal and that was to update the system. Kernel was updated to 14 from 13. Grub2 was updated and I noticed that the device map was wrong.

Device map only listed (hd0) and that external enclosure has 2 drives, sda and sdb. All / partitions are on sda and /home on sdb.

I tried rebooting and got the same response although I had succeeded in loosing your usplash and gdm images.

Tried recovery again and nothing will work. When I het the down key I get, written in broken lines with a red background, the song and dance about a root password and the Ctrl+d to continue. Box at this point is frozen solid. Alt+Sysreq+b does nothing. Power button does nothing. Unplugging works.

I am sorry that I am to much of a noob to give you anything else. I would be happy to try and get any infor mation that you would like me to.

Booted to another OS and changed the device map and tried again. Same deal.

Thank you both for giving Zenix a try and also taking the time to give feedback.

I am sorry you are having this problem and will take a second look at the (64 bit) iso.

I will try to re-produce your problem, but to be honest, 9.10 has been in such rapid development this problme may have been fixed already.

I am putting some packages together for this project, and that will solve the xsplash and themes issue you ran into.

I anticipate releasing the Zenix RC in the next few days and to be honest have installed the 32 and 64 bit versions without coming across this problem.
