Bug Description

I have configured buildout to ignore site-packages and it works perfectly but on ubuntu it doesnot ignores dist-packages. Need dist-packages to be ignored too of have some flag to en/dis-able it.

This won't be fixed in buildout 1.

In buildout 2, buildout will remember whether you used the -S Python option to bootstrap it and, if you did, buildout will include this option in any scripts it generates. On ubuntu, afaict, this avoids including any non-standard paths in sys.path.

Changed in zc.buildout:
status: New → Fix Committed

Thanks for the update Jim. I am using buildout 2 and I am trying to run it
-S option but no luck. Looks like I am doing something wrong. Can you
please tell me in brief that I need to do to make sure dist-packages are
not included?

Thanks in advance.

The buildout 2 I was referring to hasn't been released yet:
