Bug Description
Appearantly it has something to do with Ubuntu's transition from X11 to Wayland that breaks the Y PPA Managers GUI. I am not technical enough to analyse the exact reason though.
I have attached a screenshot of the terminal output of my attempt to run Y PPA Manager from commandline. Several Gdk-WARNINGS show up complaining about x11.
When i run y-ppa-manager without sudo the gui is drawn and Gdk throws a Warning:
"(Y PPA Manager:27021): Gdk-WARNING **: /build/
When i ignore this warning and try to enter any submenu like 'Advanced',
i am asked to enter my users password (my user is in the sudoers list).
When i enter my password the submenu does not show up. instead i get this output in the terminal:
"/usr/bin/
No protocol specified
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
(Y PPA Manager:5392): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0"
I then stop the process from the commandline with CMD+C
When i use sudo to run y-ppa-manager the GUI does not show up at all,
and i get this warning:
"No protocol specified
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
(Y PPA Manager:10656): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0"
