y-ppa manager crash, ubuntu-gnome 13.10, yad eating cpu

Bug Description

y-ppa manager starts up ok,

searches ok,

upon listing packages: yad process is at 100% and y-ppa crashes,

yad process needs `kill` command,

host: sony vaio vpcsb
host os: ubuntu-gnome 13.10 (fresh install)

(apologies if this format is wrong/useless, my first bug report!)

Hi,

I have libgtk2.0-0 & libgtk-3-0 installed, using libgtk-3-0

I am on amd64 arhitecture,

ubuntu 13.10,

gnome shell 3.8.4,

I assume you have GTK 3.8, but just to make sure, please post the output of this command:
apt-cache policy libgtk-3-0

This is a bug in YAD, not Y PPA Manager itself:

I've updated the YAD packages from the PPA to use GTK2 instead of GTK3 which should get YAD to work properly again. Please run:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install yad

That should update YAD to the latest build. Let me know if this fixes the issue for you! Thanks!
