Bug Description

I had been using Y PPA Manager in the past and now notice that it isn't listed in my system any more. I tried installing it again and got the following error message:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 y-ppa-manager : Depends: python-launchpadlib but it is not installable
                 Depends: xclip but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Hello,

I'm not sure what happened, but this isn't a bug in Y PPA Manager. Both python-launchpadlib and xclip are available in the Linux Mint 15 repositories. Did you disable some repositories? Make sure you didn't disable the "base" repositories (the Ubuntu repositories).... and that the mirror you're using is working.

I have tested installing Y PPA Manager on Linux Mint 15 with all the updates installed and it works without any issues, as you can see in this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/NIEkBBW.png

Changed in y-ppa-manager:
status: New → Invalid

I am getting this error in 14.04 LTS

Thanks

@allan3: Both python-launchpadlib and xclip are available in the Ubuntu 14.04 repositories. I'm using 14.04 right now:

$ apt-cache policy python-launchpadlib
python-launchpadlib:
  Installed: 1.10.2+ds-2
  Candidate: 1.10.2+ds-2
  Version table:
 *** 1.10.2+ds-2 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

$ apt-cache policy xclip
xclip:
  Installed: 0.12+svn84-4
  Candidate: 0.12+svn84-4
  Version table:
 *** 0.12+svn84-4 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

It looks like you have held broken packages so you need to fix your Ubuntu installation. Can you install other applications?

 Also, your screenshot shows update-manager errors so this is a bug in your Ubuntu installation, not in Y PPA Manager.
