Old CD Releases missing from old-releases.ubuntu.com

The Xubuntu ISOs from 7.04-11.10 should be found here:
http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/xubuntu/

Instead, only 6.06 is present. For Ubuntu and Kubuntu, all the old ISOs are available, so Xubuntu should also be available too.

I don't know which project covers the xubuntu ISOs on old-releases.ubuntu.com. I am filing the bug against the xubuntu-website project instead.

This should be really easy to fix...

These are managed by the Canonical team that handles releases and isn't within our control.

I think a good next step on this bug would be documenting precisely what is missing and approaching the team in charge to ask if they can be made available.

Submitted RT ticket #23477 with Canonical IS to look into this. They may direct us elsewhere as I'm not sure who manages it, but it's a good place to start.

Canonical IS was able to restore the following which are now listed under releases/

8.04 Hardy LTS
10.10 Maverick
11.04 Natty
11.10 Oneiric

Unfortunately they couldn't find:

6.10 Edgy
7.04 Feisty
8.10 Intrepid
9.10 Karmic

Might be interesting to see if we can track down some of these on some old mirrors, I've found a few links floating around the internet but haven't taken the time to validate them.

In the ticket, they also asked:

"Can you take a look and let me know how things look, and if you'd like any links added to the front page at http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/xubuntu/"

Thanks to archive.org, I've been able to grab the MD5SUMS of the missing isos! They've also cached the isos themselves, so there may be a way to restore them, I'll follow up in the ticket.

Tom Haddon of Canonical IS reached out to archive.org to get copies of these, but unfortunately archive.org does not actually have complete copies of the ISOs.

Since we have the MD5SUMs, if we can find these ISOs elsewhere we are able to validate them and then provide them to Canonical we can restore these downloads, but as of now they are presumed lost.
