Bug Description
I have Ubuntu server installed as a virtual machine under VirtualBox. No addition applications, just the core server.
I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.4 using the normal "sudo do-release-upgrade -d".
After the install I'm asked to restart the ubuntu server.
After the restart, the bootup screen shows up with "[c]ould not write bytes: broken pipes" in the center of the screen. Once the progress bar reaches to about 80% I'm left with a blank screen with the cursor at the top-left corner.
Screenshot attached.
