Bug Description

Compiz is slow and uses a lot of CPU. After a half-hour or so of computer usage, Xorg crashes and I can't Ctrl+Alt+F<n> to a different prompt.

Right now I am in Karmic and am using UXA (as it is my only choice). This happened in Jaunty, as well, when I tried UXA instead of EXA (which worked perfectly).

mindvirus@~$ glxinfo | grep render
direct rendering: No (LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT set)
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GME GEM 20090712 2009Q2 RC3 x86/MMX/SSE2

Hi min.dvir.us,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you're using a custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

It seems that these inefficiencies and instabilities only existed on a 2.6.28-12 EeePC kernel from array.org. I upgraded to a .31 kernel and everything is much quicker and no graphical instabilities are to be found.
