Bug Description
Starting from version 5.5.0-1 (Arch Linux), left clicking on the tray icon does not open a note any more. You would have to need a right click and select the number of the note. If I downgrade to v. 5.4.0-2 the old behaviour is restored, i.e. a left click opens the last notes. How can I revert to the 'old' behaviour using an up-to-date version?

Hi Kay,
The encountered behavior is unfortunately by design.
Xpad 5.5 has moved away from a deprecated part of the GTK framework which is called GtkStatusIcon. I am unhappy of this decision of the GTK developers, but if Xpad stays with the GTK framework, then the current icon is 'the best we can do'. Moving to another framework means in essence to rewrite most of the application.
If you have ideas how to improve the left click behavior, which I enjoyed as well, I am all ears.
Xpad 5.7 uses libayatana- appindicator, if it is of any help.
All suggestions to improve are welcome!
