Hi Lucas,

I have been able to reproduce the problem with Linux Mint 17.2 Mate and Xpad 4.2.
I have been unable to reproduce the problem with Arch Linux, openbox and Xpad 4.6 (current in development).

Which Linux distribution including version number are you using and what window manager?

Hi Lucas,

I have analyzed this issue again and again I have been able to reproduce it.
However, I believe it is out of the control of the application, in this case Xpad. Xpad uses this GTK call.

gtk_window_set_decorated

From here, the window manager (for example Compiz) might or might not decide to keep the "Always on top" preference when the window decorations are removed.

This deducation is based on the following stackoverflow discussion.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8362281/how-to-make-a-python-gtk-app-dock-on-top-of-other-apps

Since I do not know how to fix this, I am closing this bug report.
If you have any suggestion or code fix, I am all ears.

Hello Arthur,

That is a sad news :( I won't be able to fix it neither. But thank you very much for your effort.

Kind regards
Lucas
