Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I have a Radeon 7500, 64MB and a 19" Sony Trinitron E400 Monitor. The recommended resolution on my monitor is 1280x1024 but X defaults to 1280x768 only. I have tried making changes to xorg.conf and I also tried using "Screens and Graphics" but I still get the same results. I am now using xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.7.195-1ubuntu2. My resolution only worked when I first installed gutsy with no updates a few weeks ago. I will attach my xorg.conf, Xorg.0.log and "lspci -vvnn".
19" Sony Trinitron E400 Information:
Horizontal Freq. 30-96 kHz
Vertical Freq. 48-120 Hz
Thank you.

Got similar problem with a x300 and my D610 laptop.
i used to have a 1400*1050*75Hz resolution and the last ati-driver package which is working is 1:6.6.193-1ubuntu1.
