Bug Description

I've done a little more testing with this. I can dupicate this on two different pcs with windows xp and ie7 with 1.0.7 client going against the 1.2 rc1 server. I do not have the problem with firefox.

From both pc's with 1.0.7 client against the 1.0.6 server with ie7 I do not have the problem.

I just though I would go ahead and document this in case others run into this issue.

When you open a region and try to move an object in the timeline but just move it a little bit, but do not completely move the item and get a sucessful re-order , then click on close, then re-open, I cannot move anything until I go back to "layouts" and open it again.

I know what to do now to get around it, but probably someone will run into this so the workaround is to go back into "layouts" and then "design" again. Also - don't click "close" until you are finished re-ordering, as if you drag one of the items a little and don't get a successful re-order it will not let you re-order any more until you re-open the layout.

From David:

I apologize - but my testing was not accurate.

It appears that if you open the timeline with ie7, no matter what you do, if you close and re-open the timeline you cannot move any objects no matter what you did before in any region in the layout.

So you can move stuff around only the very first time you open the timeline, but once you close it, then you cannot move any more items around (even in other regions), you have to re-open the layout.

Alex, if you have IE7 you should be able to reproduce this since it has nothing to do with the client. If in fact it is not something in my environment.

Just clarifying. This will be a problem for us as we have to support ie7 for our microsoft apps and don't officially support firefox at the desktop level.

I have absolutely no issues with the 1.0.7 client, 1.0.6 server with the timeline.

there is also no notification window about reanagement completed during
first try like in ff, but order seems to be changed.

I just tested on Windows7, 32bit, IE8 and I get the same results.

I get the "Error on page" message when trying to re-open the region and then try to move an object in the timeline. (See attachement).

Updating to jQuery UI 1.8.2 appears to fix the problem.
