Add region function not working

Bug Description
I upgraded from 1.7.0-alpha to 1.7.0-alpha2 and after the upgrade, the Add Region function in the layout design panel no longer functions and new regions cannot be added to a layout. This was attempted using a layout created prior to the upgrade. I also added a new layout, post upgrade, and the Add Region function also does not work for this new layout.
This was tested on OS X 10.10.1 in the latest versions of the following browsers: Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
With 1.7.0-alpha already installed, here is the upgrade process I followed:
1. Backup copy of settings.php
2. Delete all Xibo 1.7.0-alpha folders and files, with the exception of settings.php and the library
3. Upload all 1.7.0-alpha2 folders and files
4. Log into Xibo server and click 'Next' to run the upgrade
5. Xibo reports back that the upgrade was successful and the About screen reports I am running 1.7.0-alpha2
