Bug Description

Show schedule only with permission EDIT on Display

When the user has access only to view the displays, he can create scheduling layouts perfectly, the system informs you that the schedule was successful, but does not appear on the calendar, it is a bug related to the query when mounting schedules in calendar. Basically the user should see all that is scheduled for the displays that he has at least read access.

Dan, the problem was solved? How do I test, which takes to download files?

The branch that fixes the problem is attached to the bug - you can look in
that branch at the commit log, I always try to tag the bugs to the revision.

In this case you can download the most recent from here:
https://code.launchpad.net/~dangarner/xibo/server-161 which contains all
the 1.6.1 cms related bug fixes.

Thanks!
Dan

Hi

All these bugs marked fix released are included in 1.6.1 so you just need
to upgrade to that

Good Evening Everyone,

I performed the tests.

OK-The user can perform the scheduling of layouts for displays with the permission VIEW SCHEDULE_WITH_VIEW_PERMISSION option is to YES.

OK-The user can perform the scheduling of layouts for displays only permission to SCHEDULE_WITH_VIEW_PERMISSION EDIT option is to NO

NOK-The user can only edit the schedule when has the EDIT option in display

I believe that the configuration:
SCHEDULE_WITH_VIEW_PERMISSION
Should users with View permissions on displays be allowed to schedule to Them? YES or NOT to be taken into consideration.

If it is marked as YES, the user should be able to perform scheduling and EDIT, after creating and then allow the user can not delete or modify anything.

If it is marked as not, he should just view the schedules for the display he has VIEW permission.

I'm thinking wrong on logic functionality?

Hi,

We are very pleased to see you doing so much testing, but would it be possible to avoid commenting on Released bugs? Once they have been released they are closed and shouldn't be touched.

If you find something wrong with a released item, you should create another bug for your findings (or better yet, create a question for it so people experiencing similar problems can share your knowledge).

I have created another bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/xibo/+bug/1341094) so we can consider what the functionality should be.
